Consistency and Fitting In Your Businesses Marketing Needs

Stephanie FishWhen is it a good time to schedule your business marketing needs? Why is it so much easier to schedule a consistent marketing schedule for our clients, yet not for our own business?

I preach “consistency in marketing” to my clients, yet I struggle with this in my own business.

I believe there are two solutions to this problem:

1. Outsource – If your budget allows, why not find a new virtual assistant that is looking for training and then train him/her to market?

2. Schedule- Create a plan and then print if off and hang it in your office where you can see it every day. Take your marketing plan and schedule one day per week (pick any day that works for you!) and spend those same amount of hours on your business as you would a client. Remember, you have to be willing to be your ‘best’ client in order to gain the clients you desire.

What should you write in your marketing plan?

I’ve created a marketing pdf to share with you that I will be using for the month of July. As the month progresses I will make changes as needed, so I will be using a pencil as I date each task :)

When you create your own marketing plan, make sure to write down what your goal is for that specific week. Maybe one week you will want to increase your Twitter followers, then the next week you might want to write a months worth of blog post that can be scheduled to publish on specific dates.

Consistency and Schedules ~ these two go hand in hand with helping your business grow.

Please let me know if you believe I should add something or make a change in my marketing plan, by leaving a comment below.
