When you started your Virtual Assistant business you embarked on the wonderful journey of solo-preneurship, maybe you didn’t give much thought to some of the challenges you would face or perhaps you are facing some challenges right now and you just need some encouragement.

Through-out your journey there will be many challenges that will come your way, so I have to share this secret that I have learned on my journey. I will give you a little background first, so please bare with me.

My mom taught me by her words and actions this  “secret” to handling life’s challenges. At first I wasn’t real thrilled to hear about how I should be looking at “them”, but I can honestly say that I have learned to embrace them as they come. One this you’ll learn as a solo-preneur is the fact that you can not grow as a women and business owner without challenges, so you might as well learn how to live “through” them instead of without them.

The Secret?

Challenges were made to mold us into God’s image…it’s one of those things that He uses. If you don’t believe me, read Job. Some challenges you will face in your virtual assistant business may be in line with what I’ve dealt with, such as:

  • Difficult clients
  • Famine (not enough clients to meet your financial need)
  • illness (of you or a family member)
  • Loneliness
  • Uncertainty
  • Confusion
  • Lack of Focus

See, Jesus has many names, here are a few that fit right into some of the challenges listed above:

  • Counselor
  • Comforter
  • Prince of Peace
  • Healer
  • Business Partner
  • Nutritionist
  • Provider

I challenge you to take an honest look at where you are at in your personal life and business and write down what you are going through. Take that to the Lord daily and see what happens. The one thing that has been a help to me and I call “the secret” is making Christ first  priority. In other words, make your first appointment of each day to meet with the Lord in prayer and scripture reading….this will make a difference in how you embrace the challenges that come your way.
